WELCOME TO THE BIZKID PROJECT

Welcome to The BizKid Project and thank you for joining us in our mission to nurture a nation of young entrepreneurs. We believe that children should be introduced at an early age to an entrepreneurial career option and exposed to some of the elements of starting a business.

Educate them to a world of possibilities

12 SHORT VIDEOS

Throughout the process, students learn terms related to starting a business, like product, graphic design, service, logo, and so much more. The program includes a dozen 1-2 minute information-packed animated videos narrated by Evy the Entrepreneur. Each video is accompanied by group discussion starters and an activity. The videos culminate in a visual BizPlan Board (their business plan) which is presented to their group at the end of the program.

What is an Entrepreneur?

This video explores the definition of a business and being a boss. It opens the eyes of the students to business ownership and all of the business owners they come in contact with.

What to Name Your Company

Lesson number four encourages students to consider a name for their business, one of the first steps in creating their own brand.

It's All About the Merch

Once students have created a logo, they can begin designing merchandise. They can explore branded items and further improve their BizPlan vision board.

Building Your Website

A website is an essential piece to a business. Students learn the purpose of a website and the elements needed to build one.

Your Big Idea

Video two explores the different types of business and what their role could be in the business environment. It requires them to examine their own strengths and interests.

Your Business Brand

The fifth video begins the exploration of the business brand. It encourages students to begin thinking about logos and colors as they continue to build their business.

What It's All About

Lesson eight explores the importance of an "About" statement and teaches young entrepreneurs to write their own.

Designing Your Website

This video takes lesson ten to the next level, allowing for students to use a template to design their website to fit their business brand.

Product, or Service?

The third lesson engages the debate of products or services as the students begin to develop their business idea. It provides definitions of both and aids in the business creation process.

Designing Your Logo

Students are introduced to logo design and the world of "plug and play" design programs. Using a design program like CANVA, students are able to create a symbol to represent their business.

Your Company Brochure

Video nine teaches the students the basics of creating a brochure for their company that includes the elements that they've already created, such as their logo, brand, and "About" statement.

Launching Your Company

Finally! Lesson twelve caps off the learning experience, and allows students to share their business and company with all the people important to them.
